Bally's lies at a central point along
the Strip, directly next to the Paris Las
Vegas. The hotel was built in 1973, the first of MGM’s Grand Hotels. After a
bad fire destroyed almost everything a few years later, it was bought and
rebuilt in 1986 by the Bally Gaming Corporation, a producer of games
machines.
The spacious, modern hotel rooms can be had at affordable prices and are
among the largest rooms in the city.
The Bally's Hotel spa includes a superbly equipped health center, whirlpools,
steam and Finnish saunas and aquatherapies. Worthy of mention is also the
pool area; here guests find a palm-fringed sun terrace, a snack bar and
cabanas. The cabanas are equipped with their own fridge, a television and
private phone. In addition, each cabin has its own inflatable raft.
One of the greatest attractions of the hotel is the Jubilee! After the
Folies Bergere the show is the second greatest classic of the Las Vegas
Revue. A throwback to a time when showgirls reigned over the Strip and
opulent song and dance numbers, splendid costumes and lavish sets ruled the
stage. |
