The Bellagio is one of the most
eye-catching hotels on the Strip. The
1.6 billion dollar luxury hotel resembles an idyllic village on Lake Como in
Italy. The lake itself is naturally not to be missed. This is to be found
directly at the entrance of the hotel and presents the visitors daily with a
water ballet consisting of up to 250 feet high fountains. During this,
melodies by Luciano Pavarotti, Andrea Bocelli, Frank Sinatra and Lionel
Ritchie ring out.
In addition to this the hotel, built in Italian style, offers, via a chic
shopping arcade, a gigantic botanical garden which, depending on time of
year, changes color and theme of its motifs, the Bellagio Gallery of Fine
Art, and the water show "O", performed by the Cirque du Soleil.
The Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art was the first gallery on the Strip and
presents two exhibitions per year, in which loans from museums of wide
renown are displayed. An audio guide is also on offer in order that guests
can stand before each painting and listen to details about it.
The Italian elegance is clear to be seen also in the interior of the
Bellagio. Many pillars, arches and much marble make the hotel romantic,
comfortable and beautiful.
Even the partly fabric-covered games machines have an elegant effect. |
