Binion's is one of the oldest of the Las
Vegas landmarks and lies directly on
Fremont Street. The tourist class hotel was founded by Texan gambler and
moonshiner Benny Binion and was in earlier times one of the best loved
gambling houses in the downtown core.
The hotel, built in 1950’s style, known previously as Binion’s Horseshoe,
offers a casino over 50,000 square feet in size, in which the World Series
of Poker took place a few years ago.
The hotel’s facilities include conference rooms, gift shops, a number of
restaurants and an outdoor swimming pool to be found on Binion’s 25th floor.
From there guests have a breathtaking view over the Las Vegas Strip and the
city center around Fremont Street.
Binion’s Hotel offers 366 rooms in total, 300 of which are in the
neighboring tower – in the Mint Hotel. The remaining rooms are in the old
hotel and are outfitted with wrought iron beds or Victorian rugs and brass. |
