The Fremont Hotel is one of the
best-known hotels in Las Vegas and
lies right in the middle of the Fremont Street Experience. When it was built,
in 1956, it was the first high-rise hotel in the downtown core. At a time
when all the other casinos had sawdust on the floors, the casino at the
Fremont was the first to be completely outfitted with carpet.
The hotel offers to visitors a total of 447 rooms and suites and
approximates, in its furnishings, a tropical island paradise. It is much
loved by guests from Hawaii.
Among the hotel facilities can be found a large casino, five restaurants, a
car rental agency, and much more. Guests can use the pool area of the sister
hotel next door, the California. In the 1970's Wayne Newton began his
glorious career as an entertainer in this Las Vegas hotel.
From the hotel you can marvel at the wonderfully impressive show put on
every evening. More than two million LED lights light up the Fremont Street
Experience in conjunction with a unique soundtrack, produced by one of the
largest audio-video systems in the world. |
