The Main Street Station Hotel lies in
downtown Las Vegas. The design is in
the style of Old San Francisco, mementos from which can be found almost
everywhere in the building. The hotel lies two blocks from the Fremont
Street Experience and is furnished according to a loving eye for detail.
The hotel can also be seen as a small museum. There are here a large number
of antiquities and artworks, like for example a chandelier from the Paris
Opera House, the bronze doors from the Bank of Kuwait in London, street
lamps from Brussels, a wood-carved fireplace made of oak from Preswick
Castle in Scotland and a piece of the Berlin Wall.
On the way through the reception visitors must walk past magnificent
chandeliers and ceiling fans. The lobby itself is preserved in the Western
style and receptionists stand behind artistically formed brass bars.
In addition, the Main Street Station Hotel has a 28,000 square feet casino
with 943 games machines, 21 gaming tables, restaurants and a car rental
agency available on the hotel premises. The 406 or so rooms are furnished in
French farmhouse style with large white window shutters made of wood. |
