The New York New York Hotel & Casino is
the tallest casino hotel in Nevada and lies
directly on Las Vegas Strip. The hotel, which promotes itself as the
greatest city in Las Vegas, is an imitation of the New York skyline. Among
the perfect replicas the 150-feet high Statue of Liberty, the Empire State
Building, and other skyscrapers are counted as landmarks. The 300-feet long
Brooklyn Bridge in Las Vegas, the original of which in reality is five times
the size, is crossed by millions of visitors per year. The 84,000 square
feet large casino of the New York New York Hotel presents the visitor with
the look of Central Park.
The hotel includes in total 2 023 rooms and suites, spread through twelve
skyscrapers each with 30 to 46 stories. In addition, the hotel features
snackbars, an Irish pub, lots of stores and souvenir shops, a seasonally
open swimming pool and 3 whirlpools. Live entertainments are on offer, for
example, in the Coyote Ugly Bar or one of the three lounges. Gastronomic
offerings include a total of seven restaurants, including a steakhouse, an
Italian, American and Mexican restaurant.
Among the hotel’s attractions include the show “Zumanity”, put on by the Cirque du
Soleil, which is presented in the hotel’s own theater, and a 145-feet high
rollercoaster, which crisscrosses the “New York Skyline” at 70 mph. |
