The Orleans Hotel and Casino was
originally built as the sister hotel
of the Gold Coast, is today however seen by almost everyone as an
independent hotel. The hotel has been expanded three times up to the present
time, including even the building of a third tower in 2004.
The hotel offers a total of 1 886 rooms, which can be booked with view of
the Strip or of the mountains. The rooms are in the “Petite Suite” style,
meaning they include a separate living area and loveseat.
Among the specialities of the hotel are included two large outdoor pools,
which are to be found with the large whirlpool in a palm-tree garden, and
the hotel’s own health spa, which offers guests sauna, steam baths and
beauty treatments. In addition the hotel facilities have a business center,
a 134,000 square feet large casino, a fitness center and a large number of
restaurants and bars.
In addition to this, the hotel counts an 18-screen movie theater complex, a
70-lane bowling alley and a 827-seat arena. Well-known rock stars of the
1960’s and 1970’s appear here on various evenings. In one arena, made with
capacity for 9,000, the Wranglers, a professional hockey team, play in the
winter months. |
