The Plaza Hotel and Casino was opened in
1971 by renowned hotelier Jackie Gaughan and
lies around two miles from the Strip, at the end of Fremont Street. The
hotel is perfectly suited for visitors who wish to avoid the turmoil of the
Las Vegas Strip, but still do not want to miss out on the entertainment and
fun.
Among the attractions of the hotel are included a 80,000 square feet casino
with poker room and bingo hall, a lounge, a fitness center and much more.
Gastronomic delights include a gourmet restaurant, a buffet restaurant, a
food court and a café.
A further attraction of the hotel is the roof terrace with outdoor pool,
four tennis courts with floodlights and a 1200-feet long jogging track with
artificial turf. In addition the Plaza Hotel stands out above all for its
cascading and neonlit waterfalls, in front of its facade.
The Plaza Hotel and Casino offers its guests a total of 1,200 rooms and
suites, spread out over two buildings of 21 and 25 stories. These buildings
are connected via the roof terrace with one another. From the hotel rooms
visitors can enjoy a wonderful view of the pool terrace, Fremont Street or
the Las Vegas Strip. |
