The Tropicana Resort and Casino is one of
the older hotels and lies directly on the
Strip. For many visitors this hotel counts as a small taste of the south
seas in the desert, or a tropical island paradise. Right at the entrance of
the hotel visitors are met by two ten-and-a-half meter high Maori gods, a
lagoon and a Polynesian long-house.
One of the particular highlights is the two hectare water theme park,
outfitted with three pools, five spas and a waterslide. Here parrots, swans
and flamingos rub shoulders, wandering in among exotic plants and waterfalls.
Guests even have the possibility of gambling at floating blackjack tables.
The hotel facilities include a total of 1,877 rooms and suites spread
through three buildings, the Paradise Tower, Island Tower and Garden Tower.
The 21-story high Island Tower is connected by a shopping strip containing
numerous boutiques to the casino.
One of the many attractions is the show Les Folies Bergère, shown in the
Tropicana Hotel for many years. In addition visitors can visit the Liberace
Museum as well as the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Natural History. |
