The Wynn Las Vegas is the most lavish
hotel on the Strip. The 217 acre hotel
complex belongs to Steve Wynn and cost $2.7 billion to build. The 50-story
highrise hotel was erected on the grounds of the Desert Inn and includes 15
restaurants, a health spa with 45 treatment salons, a circus-type water show,
a 110,000 square feet casino and an 18-hole golf course, designed by Tom
Fazio. The magnificent hotel complex is located on the northern end of the
Strip.On the lake in front of the hotel can be observed the show Lake of
Dreams, wherein music, light and art are set in harmony.
In addition, visitors find at the Wynn Las Vegas a complete spa, large pools,
a breathtaking shopping mall with boutiques from Dior, Chanel and Cartier, a
hotel-owned theater which shows musicals daily, and of course The Wynn
Collection of Fine Arts.
This art collection consists of the collected artworks of Steve Wynn. Some
15 canvasses in two rooms are on show. Among these are paintings by Picasso,
van Gogh, Matisse, Rembrandt, Gauguin and Renoir. An audio guide read
personally by Steve Wynn is available, recorded by himself. In this guide
Steve Wynn tells guests about the paintings and shares with them his own
personal observations and what they mean for him and how they affect him. |
